Sweden took delivery of 425 of these aircraft in various versions, which operated with the Flygvapnet (Swedish Air Force) from 1946 till 1967. The J 28C was a twin-seat version used as operational training aircraft. This particular aircraft with reg. no. SE-DXU (28DXU) was built in 1953. It was later painted in Swedish Air Force colours, is maintained by the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight (SWAFHF), but owned by the Eskilstuna Flygmuseum.
