De Havilland DH-115 Vampire T.11, designated J 28C, taxiing at F3 Malmslätt, Linköping. Picture taken during the Swedish Armed Forces airshow 2010 (Försvarsmaktens Huvudflygdag). Sweden took delivery of 425 of these aircraft in various versions, which operated with the Flygvapnet (Swedish Air Force) from 1946 till 1967. The J 28C was a twin-seat version used as operational training aircraft. This particular aircraft with reg. no. SE-DXU (28DXU) was built in 1953 under license in Switzerland. It was later painted in Swedish Air Force colours, is maintained by the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight (SWAFHF), but owned by the Eskilstuna Flygmuseum.
