Lövstabruk was the biggest of the Vallonbruk region historical industrial villages, located northeast of the city of Uppsala in the Uppland landscape. In the 1600s the industrialisation of Sweden was started by many hot shots from Belgium. They were commonly known as the Wallonians (Vallon), even if the most important of them - Louis de Geer - was mainly Dutch.
